Scarborough Heroes

Scarborough Heroes: A History in Colour celebrates Black figures both past and present that hail from Scarborough. From Kardinal Offishall to Robert Brown, each of the 13 framed illustrations will hang inside Scarborough Town Centre telling the story of how each hero is connected to and represents the best of Scarborough. This exhibit launches Scarborough Town Centre’s Black History Month and remains as an ongoing exhibit for several months as we continue to pay homage to these hometown heroes.

Scarborough Heroes was illustrated by Toronto artist Joseph Osei Bonsu. Joseph has always had a fascination with the visual arts. His inspiration originates from comic books and animated shows that he grew up watching. Joseph is the co-founder of Heroes of the World with his long-time friend, Mark Williams.
